About Super Pipeline

Super Pipeline is a 1983 Commodore 64 arcade game from Taskset, and one of the more warmly remembered titles from that Bristol-based studio's short run. It sits in the great tradition of single-screen platform-action games that defined the early 8-bit era, built around frantic multitasking and escalating pressure.

The premise casts you as a foreman plumber trying to keep a system of pipes flowing while an assortment of creatures scurry along the pipework to spring leaks. You climb and patrol the structure, plugging holes and protecting your workers as the chaos mounts, and the difficulty ramps up steadily as more hazards appear. Its blend of quick reactions and light strategy, plus some cheerful music, made it a small favourite on the C64 and a good example of how much personality developers could pack into these compact, arcade-style games.
