Final Zone is an action game for the Sega Mega Drive from 1990, the early period of the 16-bit console when every release was still part of the argument for what the hardware could do. You pilot a combat exoskeleton and fight through enemy positions in a straightforward, reflex driven shooter viewed from the side, built around firepower and forward momentum.

The publishing credit is a story in itself. The record lists Tec Toy, Sega's Brazilian partner, the company responsible for distributing consoles and games across South America. Thanks to Tec Toy, Sega hardware lived on in Brazil far longer than anywhere else in the world, and cartridges bearing its logo have become their own collecting niche.
