About Ralli Manager '98

Ralli Manager '98 is a shareware management game released by the Finnish outfit LaserSoft in 1998. As the name suggests, you are not behind the wheel but running a rally team — a natural genre choice in Finland, a country famously obsessed with rallying.

The period BBS blurb is unusually honest: it admits the beta "gave everyone a really bad impression" of the game and presents version 1.0 as new and improved. The shareware sample reportedly did not offer much, but registering was supposed to unlock "a huge pile of extra stuff" — the classic 1990s distribution model, with the full version ordered by post.

It is a typical product of the Finnish home-computer scene that international retro archives largely missed. The game runs right in your browser on OldGame.cz.
