About Mercenary Sniper

Mercenary Sniper is an action shooter for DOS from 1998. You play a mercenary sniper with a wonderfully simple briefing: kill all enemies. According to the period description, the authors solemnly dedicated the game “to all militarists”.

The notes for version 1.05 also list the hardware requirements: a 486 processor, a mouse and 5 MB of memory are needed, while a Pentium, a fast display card and a Sound Blaster compatible sound card are recommended. Modest demands for 1998, and a clear sign of a small hobbyist production — exactly the kind that filled Finnish BBSes at the time, a scene international retro sites still tend to overlook.
