Puluc について

このレビューはまだ翻訳されていません——原文(English)を表示しています。

You stare at the screen and wonder if your Spectrum has crashed mid-load. A white grid. A handful of colored squares. No instructions, no menu, no hint of what you're supposed to do. Welcome to Puluc, where the game and the mystery are one and the same.

Puluc is a logic puzzle dressed up as a minimalist experiment. You move colored blocks around a grid, looking for patterns, combinations, or maybe just the exit. The Spectrum's limited palette works against clarity here—what should be intuitive becomes cryptic. Without a manual (and good luck finding one), you're left reverse-engineering the rules through trial and error, which sounds noble in theory and tedious in practice.

The mechanics, when you finally grasp them, boil down to sliding and stacking. Push a block into another and see what happens. Sometimes pieces vanish. Sometimes they merge. Sometimes nothing happens and you've wasted five minutes wondering if that was progress. The control scheme is simple enough—arrow keys or equivalent—but simplicity without feedback is just guessing with extra steps.

What makes Puluc oddly compelling is exactly what makes it frustrating: it demands you think like the designer rather than follow breadcrumbs. There's no hand-holding, no tutorial, no patronizing voiceover. It's pure puzzle, raw and indifferent to your confusion. On the Spectrum, where disk space was precious and manuals were often treated as luxury items, this approach wasn't unusual—but it was rarely forgiving.

Today, Puluc sits in that awkward zone between curiosity and abandoned game. It's not fun in the sense that Tetris or Pac-Man are fun. It's not even clearly *playable* without documentation. But there's something honest about a game that refuses to apologize for being obscure, that trusts you to work out whether it's even worth the effort. If you're the type who enjoys cracking a cipher more than shooting aliens, and you've got patience to burn, Puluc might scratch that itch. For everyone else, it's a relic that raises more questions than it answers.
