About the game

Žiadny príbeh, žiadne dialógy, žiadne zdržiavanie. Doom ťa hodí do chodby plnej démonov, dá ti do ruky brokovnicu a povie jediné: prež i. Práve táto nekompromisná čistota z neho urobila jednu z najdôležitejších hier všetkých čias.

Prebíjaš sa von zo základne na Marse, ktorú zaplavilo peklo, hľadáš farebné karty, stláčaš prepínače a strieľaš na všetko, čo sa hýbe. Mapy sú plné tajných miestností a nástrah, takže sa oplatí poobzerať. Arzenál je ikonický — od brokovnice a guľometu po plazmovú pušku a BFG9000, ktorá vyčistí celú miestnosť.

Engine je pseudo-3D, bez pozerania hore a dole, ale tempo je také vražedné, že ti to nevadí. Impovia hádžu ohnivé gule, ružové démony útočia, kakodémoni sa vynárajú z tmy. Tempo nikdy nepoľaví a pocit zo streľby je návykový dodnes.

Doom navyše rozbehol deathmatch s kamarátmi a komunitu modderov, ktorá vytvorila tisíce vlastných úrovní. Je to základný kameň celého žánru a stále sa hrá skvele. Zahrať si ho môžeš rovno v prehliadači, bez inštalácie.
