Mallet Legend is a simple whack-a-mole arcade game. Figures pop out of holes and you have to hit them with a mallet before they duck back down. The pace tightens as you go, and everything rests on reflexes and timing rather than on any depth of rules.

It was made by Realtec, a Taiwanese producer of unlicensed Mega Drive cartridges. Realtec's output was sold mainly at Taiwanese night markets, outside official distribution and out of Sega's reach, which is why so few copies survive and why the label's cartridges are collector rarities today.
