Erno

Erno is a Finnish text adventure by the group Anasoft, preserved here in version 1.1. The period blurb describes it as a game "in the style of Tauno" — a popular Finnish text adventure of the day — but considerably more versatile: it features the Lotto lottery, a rock-paper-scissors minigame, and items that can be bought and sold.

It is played by typing commands and the whole game is in Finnish, so today it serves mostly as a curiosity and a document of the lively Finnish BBS and hobbyist scene of the 1990s, from which amateur text adventures like this one emerged — a scene largely invisible to international retro sites. The exact release year is unknown.
