Clyde is the type of hero nobody would make today – a tiny pixelated figure with zero personality, jumping across the screen simply because that's how it worked in the nineties. If you never encountered him in DOS, you're not missing out.

It's a straightforward platformer where you navigate through levels packed with platforms, obstacles, and most likely some poorly-placed enemies for good measure. The goal is traditional – get from point A to point B without getting knocked off screen or killed. In 1992, this was absolute standard; today, it sounds like a chore.

The controls are straightforward, which is both its strength and weakness. Movement, jump, and maybe some shooting – nothing fancy. The problem is the game feels sluggish, as if it's setting up each fall and obstacle with a slight delay. You're never quite sure if you screwed up or the game did. This uncertainty grinds on you more than the actual difficulty ever could.
