Arcade Rally is a small freeware DOS racing game from 2001 — top-down view, a car, a track and nothing else. The whole program is 43 KB, which by an era when ordinary games shipped on CD reads less as thrift than as a hangover from the previous decade.

It belongs to the very last DOS games anyone released. By 2001 the platform had effectively ceased to exist and was written for only by individuals who had grown up on it and would not let it go; their games travelled over the internet rather than through shops.

The author is credited as Lukáš Petrík. Beyond the spelling of that name we have no evidence of where it was made — the archive item carries no readme — so treat the Slovak origin as likely rather than confirmed. You can play it right in your browser on OldGame.cz.
