Про гру Detritus - The Daemon's Quest

Цей огляд ще не перекладено — показуємо оригінал (English).

Detritus - The Daemon's Quest is an MS-DOS title from 1996 — and one of those entries where an archive has to be honest about the limits of its records: no author, no publisher, and no verified description of the game itself have survived. The name is evocative — detritus, a daemon, a quest — but a name is not documentation, and we will not invent mechanics or plot to fill the silence.

The year tells its own story. By 1996 the DOS world was fading into the shadow of Windows and CD-ROM productions, and small or hobbyist games of the late DOS era spread through shareware catalogues, BBS archives and cover discs — channels that rarely preserved credits or context. Titles from this layer routinely survive as bare executables.

That is precisely why it belongs here. On OldGame.cz the game runs directly in your browser, and the first player to spend an evening with it will know more about the daemon's quest than any database currently does.
