Loser

Loser is a Finnish adventure game from 1996 that ironically bills itself in its period file description as “suomalainen laatupeli” — a Finnish quality game. Your task is to help a bullied schoolboy, though in a fashion no editor would let through today: the game openly revels in the politically incorrect humour typical of Finnish homebrew output of the era.

It was written by Veli-Matti Niemitalo, Tuomas Mäkelä and Antti Savolainen, and it spread through Finnish BBS boards in ARJ archives; the surviving version 2.6 is one of the few tangible documents of a scene that international retro databases barely mention.
