Inspector, you've got yourself stuck in the mud again. In this logic adventure from 1992, you need to escape various traps and mazes that Doctor Claw and his gang have set up for you. There's no time for shooting here — just brains, patience, and the right sequence of moves.

Inspector Gadget is a hybrid of platformer and logic game where you navigate through individual scenarios from a top-down perspective. Your goal is simple: get out of the room and collect all the keys or items needed to progress along the way. Paths are blocked, things only open when you make the right move, and some elements follow their own logic. It's not about reflexes, but about planning.

The controls are straightforward — movement and interaction with your surroundings. Gadget's articulated appearance shows up here more as aesthetics than mechanics; you'll appreciate the classic DOS-platformer elements for the time. The graphics are muddled, the colors and special effects aren't worth mentioning, but for a logic game it gets the job done. The sound is minimal, so nothing distracts you from concentrating.

The problem is that the game tries to be everything at once and does almost nothing particularly well. The logic puzzles aren't fun enough to keep you hooked, and the platforming sections aren't interesting enough either. The color choice and moderately cold approach means you won't remember it as anything special — more like an interesting experiment that stumbled here once and never got back up.
