A platform game that is really a modified version of Super Mario Bros. for the NES. It plays exactly the same way: move right, jump on enemies, find your way to the end of the stage. What changed are the names and part of the artwork — the pair here are van der Merwe and his boetie, his little brother.

The interest lies in where it came from. By available accounts the cartridge was sold only in South Africa, and the title borrows van der Merwe, the archetypal Afrikaans surname familiar from local jokes; the locally printed label shows a figure in khaki shorts. Who published it could not be established, and the year is given as 1992. The ROM reportedly comes from a South African cartridge dumped by a collector in Johannesburg, and turns up nowhere else.
