Backyard Baseball (Game Boy Advance)

Backyard Baseball on the Game Boy Advance is the handheld conversion of a baseball series originally aimed at younger players. It came out on 21 May 2002 and keeps to the source material: simplified rules, short games, no simulation ambitions.

The conversion is credited to GameBrains in Kuala Lumpur. In the record of Malaysian development it is the last cartridge game from before 2003, and it illustrates the model the country's industry ran on through its first decade: contract ports of licensed titles for foreign publishers, with no in-house brands and no say in what got made.

We hold it as a catalogue entry only, so it cannot be played in the browser here.
