Cobra Mission was something you could buy in the nineties either as an original box, or download from a floppy disk from someone who had it. Remember it? A classic adventure with RPG elements on DOS, one that relied on text and your imagination. That's how games were made back then.

It's a science-fiction story where you move somewhere between adventure and role-playing game territory. You're not on a linear path — you have room to make decisions, combine things in your inventory, and solve situations in multiple ways. The world isn't huge, but it offers enough rooms and objects to make you feel a little lost, and that's good. The character guiding you through the story, the things worth exploring — they matter.

The controls are typical for the era — command line or point-and-click interface, depending on which version you have. You enter commands, try combinations, sometimes you nearly reach for the manual when you're unsure what to do next. The game's pace is slow, but that's not a flaw — it's actually part of the atmosphere. The graphics are drawn icons and printed dialogue, sound is fairly minimal. To today's player it might seem slow to the point of tedium, but in context it works. The puzzles aren't brutal, more logical and tied to the story.
