Sierra Christmas Card 1990: The Seasoned Professional [16 color]

An animated Christmas card from Sierra in 1990 — something between a demo, an advertisement, and an interactive greeting. If you googled it today, you'd say it's just PR code that bigger software houses used to say "we love you, trust us." And you know what? It was funny.

Graphically, it's a few individual scenes rendered in 16 colors, which in that era meant every pixel counted. There weren't many characters — mainly figures from Sierra's older games. The animation effect came from switching between individual frames, and that's all there was to it. It was simplicity that worked: you looked at it, you smiled, you closed it, and went back to games that actually had something to do.

The controls were on the level of "click until something happens." Mouse and a few clicks, or maybe the Enter key. Nothing fancy. You'd play with it for a bit, the way you play animated GIFs that show up in your email today.
