Titanic: The Legend is a small simulation released in 1998 by the Finnish group Black Shadow. It puts you directly at the helm of the famous liner: your job is to steer the ship through a field of icebergs and avoid the collision that history remembers all too well. The original blurb cheekily called it a must-have for all Titanic fans.

The game is a typical product of the Finnish home-computer and BBS scene of the 1990s — tiny freeware and shareware titles that circulated on bulletin board systems and floppies and are largely overlooked by international retro sites. Technically it required VGA graphics and supported the Sound Blaster.
