Tokko is one of those games about which virtually nothing has survived — no period blurb, no author, no release year. All we know is that it is a small Finnish DOS title that circulated on the country's BBS boards in the 1990s. Even the name itself is a riddle: "tokko" is a Finnish particle expressing doubt, roughly meaning "whether at all".

Anonymous little programs like this make up the bulk of the Finnish home-computer scene of the era. Written for fun, for friends or for a local BBS, they spread without documentation and never made it into the international databases; the only way to learn what is inside is to run them. That, at least, is easy here — Tokko runs right in your browser on OldGame.cz, so you can crack the mystery yourself.
