Atomi Hockey is a text-based ice-hockey manager written in 1997 by the Finn Jarkko T. Kähkönen; this is version II, and the game was also known simply as Athockey. The period blurb promises over 110 different in-game events, real players and goalkeepers, and immodestly calls itself an excellent text-style hockey manager game.

There are no graphical frills: you build your team, make the decisions and follow the matches through text reports. The author offered a free update to the latest version to anyone who wrote to him, and announced a sequel, Athock III – very much in the spirit of the Finnish hobbyist scene, where games spread via BBSes and mail between enthusiasts.

Ice hockey is Finland's national sport, so home-made managers like this were a natural fit – and this one runs right in your browser on OldGame.cz.
