By the time this was made, independent Tetris clones were already relics. The original Tetris was everywhere, commercial variants too. So why play this version? Because it's the distilled core without distractions. It moves briskly, the blocks have clear design without unnecessary colors, the sounds are quiet and unobtrusive. You feel the soul of someone who loved Tetris and wanted to make it their own — no ownership claims, no ambitions, just because.
It aged naturally, like everything made without financial backing. The graphics look straight out of the mid-nineties, which is fine when you know it came from maybe a garage. It's neither too slow nor does it take forever to start. It just is — compiled in Pascal or whatever, and done.
Today you can play it in an emulator or online when nostalgia for pure Tetris without the bells and whistles hits. It's not a great game, it's not a bad one — it's a solid, honest clone. If you want Tetris without the frills and without the polish of the last twenty years, this is the way.
