These days I see it as an artifact. Oregon Trail had its ironic history, its dark humor, its cult appeal. Amazon Trail is just a pale attempt to repeat some of those notes, but without the spark. When it was new, it might have surprised people. Now it's barely interesting even as a curiosity.
