PC Bukvar is a Serbian children's primer for DOS from 1995. It teaches kids aged roughly four to eight both alphabets in use, Cyrillic and Latin, through simple on-screen exercises that pair letters with pictures and words.

Very few domestic edutainment titles came out of mid-nineties Serbia, which is exactly what makes this one worth keeping. Under international sanctions imported software was practically unobtainable, so parents who wanted their child to do something other than play games on the family PC had to rely on local production.

The dual alphabet also captures a linguistic reality of the region that foreign game catalogues almost never record. PC Bukvar runs directly in your browser here on OldGame.cz.
