Rambo: First Blood Part II is a 1985 movie tie-in from Mindscape, arriving on the back of the Sylvester Stallone film's success. It's an overhead action-adventure in which you play Rambo on his mission into the Vietnamese jungle to locate American POWs, moving through the terrain while dealing with enemy patrols and using a mix of stealth and firepower.

The game blends combat with light puzzle and item-management elements typical of mid-80s licensed titles — picking up equipment like the bow and knife and using them at the right moments. I know it mainly as a period movie license rather than in fine detail, so I'll avoid overstating its depth. As with many tie-ins of the era, it's more interesting today as a snapshot of how 1980s developers translated a blockbuster into pixels than as a game that rivals the genre's best.
