The sounds were more of a chiming sort, so you could play it without volume and not offend anyone.

Megaboulder was quickly forgotten because there were stronger players on the market. Tetris was already a legend, Columns had captured the arcades, and Megaboulder swayed somewhere in between and eventually fell into obscurity. But it was solid work, not a hack, not a fluke — just a competent game for a single sitting.

Today, take a look at it through oldgaming emulators? Why not. It's not a masterpiece, but twenty minutes of solid fun holds up fairly well.
